Aisling Bea

Aisling B a is born on on 16 March 1984 in Kildare Ireland. The comedian has appeared seen on QI together alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea, is a popular Irish actress writer and comedian. Bea's acting career started in the year 2011, as a stand-up comedian, after appearing in small parts on Irish and British television shows beginning in 2009. As early as 2012 she was in sitcoms and sketch comedy. Following her win in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began being booked frequently for different panel shows, where she was a frequent guest. She was captain of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team between 2016 and 2017 and is a regular contestant in its spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. She is only the second ever female to be a winner of the show So You Think You're Funny. The surname of Bea is in honor of her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh is a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Born on the 16th of March, 1984. Bea's father Brian took his life at the age of three. He was an equine vet. Bea wasn't told the details of how he passed before she reached the age of 13. In honor of the man she loved, Bea adopted the stage name Bea and in 2017, she wrote an article on suicides that affected the family she was raised by for The Guardian. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) were brought up in the same home as Helen Moloney, who was a school educator and jockey trainer who was a professional jockey. Their family was racing and horse-related. When she was a child, Bea employed as a tour guide for the Irish National Stud however she knew from a young age that she was not attracted to the race industry as a career and instead enjoyed performing.
