Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in TV and film is best known for films like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only daughter to Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered the showbiz world early and was performing lead roles in various television dramas by the time she turned 16. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like that of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially popular Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the beautiful diva. Alexandra worked on several important international and national projects through the years. Some of these include the British biographical documentary Control, Greek drama film The Dust of Time, as well as the French historic miniseries Napoleon. She has also been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as and The Cannes Film Festival.
