Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is known for parts as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actor Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her showbiz career in the early years of her life. By the time she turned 16years old, Alexandra was able to land leading roles in several television dramas. The audience was impressed by her portrayal in Der Tunnel. This paved for her to play other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Alexandra has been involved in numerous important international and national projects over the years. These include British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as in addition to the French history mini-series Napoleon. She also remained member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
